                                                                       1957 XL

This is the Floor to our 57XL.  This creative design, with the help of Shadow Rods allows use to lower the seat 4″ and push it back 4″.  This allows for more interior room for bigger men or women, yet still allowing a 12″ rear tub to be able to run wider tires and a convertible top!  The suspension will be C-7 and the frame custom designed by The Roadster Shop.

                                                        1962 Restoration “August”

August is back into the paint booth for a coat of OneChoice SX103  Multi prep clear By PPG. We are using this as a Anti-Static agent.

                                                                     The Hood

We’re designing a new hood for the 63 to accommodate the LT4 engine.  The grill inserts are our newest product release and are available in CARBON FIBER too!  They will fit our custom 63 hood as well as an original 63 hood.   The cost of the inserts are $500 and $800 in Carbon Fiber.

                                                      1973 Restoration “Warren”

“Warren” is a little restoration we’ve been working on.   We spend 3 days in the booth with every paint job.  Day 1 is sealer, Day 2 is 3 coats of base and Day 3 is 3 coats of clear.

                                                      1962 Restoration “August”

Little “August”  has had 2 rounds of slick sand and we’re just finishing up the wet sanding.  At every stage we sand the jams and reinstall the doors with the weatherstrips, and we refit the headlight bezels, and all the chrome trim to ensure everything is perfectly fitted at the end.

                                                                      1957 XL

The 57Xl has had a floor re-design to accommodate a different chassis .  Once it’s perfect we will spray Duratex and start making the mold.

We’re working on designing a new front splitter to go with our fiberglass bumpers.  From design, to tooling, to production we do it all under our own roof.

                                                       1962 Restoration “August”

During the body work stage we do all our body work with the weatherstrips installed.  We fit the doors, deck & trunk lid, hood, all the chrome, including the windshield, bumpers, headlight bezels, fuel door, and grille bezels.  Then we take everything apart to spray our slick sand.  Our spray booth is 7 feet longer so we can spray everything at the same time.  We’ve also designed custom fixtures for our hoods, doors, deck & truck lids which rotate 360 degrees for an even application.  All the parts are also sprayed as they will hang on the Corvette to ensure consistency.  After the slick sand we sand the jams, install the weatherstrips, hang the doors, deck & truck lid, hood, all the chrome, bumpers, headlight and grille bezels, then we block the body.  This is how we achieve perfect gaps and sharp body lines.  We will do it all again after the 2nd prime.

                                                             1973 Restoration “Warren”

Again, during the body work stage we do all our body work with the weatherstrips installed.  We fit the doors, door handles, deck lid, hood, bumpers, fuel door, and headlight assemblies.  Then we take everything apart to spray our slick sand.  Our spray booth is 7 feet longer so we can spray everything at the same time.  We’ve also designed custom fixtures for our hoods, doors, deck & truck lids which rotate 360 degrees for an even application.  All the parts are sprayed as they will hang on the Corvette to ensure consistency.  After the slick sand we sand the jams, install the weatherstrips, hang the doors, all the chrome, bumpers, headlight assemblies and fuel door, then we block the body.  This is how we achieve perfect gaps and sharp body lines.  We will do it all again after the 2nd prime.

                                                             1963 Rest-O-Mod

We’ve been installing the rear quarters, splash shields and tail light panel.  During this stage we also make a point to fit our bumpers and exhaust panel.  This helps to ensure we get the most uniformed lines.  These are stock rear quarters with our custom fiberglass bumpers.  Our bumpers are tucked in tighter to the body and are slightly over-sized to look more proportioned.  Our bumpers also bolt on in the factory locations.

This is our 2nd design 63-67 firewall block-off panel.  With this panel you can slick out your firewall in just a fraction of time.  It also had a wiper motor access panel on the firewall to hide your Detroit Speed wiper motor.  This panel is meant to be bonded in place and body worked to perfection.  At a cost of $300 this will save you many hours of body work labor and give you a smoother finish.

                                                       1973 Restoration “Warren”

The bodywork is complete and “Warren” is in the 1st prime.  During our bodywork stage we fit the hood, bumpers, doors (with the weatherstrips installed) and the headlight assemblies.  Once we have our gaps perfect we take it back apart and prime.  When we spray our Corvettes the parts are laid out as they will hang on the car.  We’ve built custom fixtures so we can rotate the parts 360 degrees so while we’re spraying we can make sure we get even coverage.

                                                                   63 Restomod

This is the 63 Coupe! This week we’ve been fitting our newest design, a transmission tunnel to accommodate the 8spd automatic transmission.  We tool every part and this is now available for you too!

                                                         1962 Restoration “August”

We’ve hung the major fiberglass panels, front surround, nose, rear deck surround and tail light panel and the rough bodywork is complete.  The next step is to double check our tire pressure to ensure balance during our fine detail bodywork.  Every gap is held to our strict 3/16″ tolerance and all the chrome is fitted during the bodywork stage.

                                                      1962 Restoration ” August”

After replacing the read deck surround we’re moving forward on the body work.  We fit the windshield and all the chrome during our body work stage to ensure a perfect fit.

                                                                                   1973 Restoration “Warren”

The 73 is also in the body work stage.  Again, we fit the doors with the weatherstrips and the bumpers to ensure a perfect fit.

                                                                Side Pipe Covers

The Dad has been working hard on his custom side exhaust covers and now we’re moving forward on building the molds.  These covers will have the upper moldings built into the cover and will accommodate stock pipes or our new 3 1/2″ pipe design.  These covers have been stretched out and have less ribs than stock covers.

                                                       1962 Restoration ” August”

We’re replacing major fiberglass panels this week on the 62.  The hood surround, nose, tail light panel and next we’ll be the rear deck surround.  As we replace these sections we make sure to fit all the chrome as we go and we NEVER use screws to secure the panels while the epoxy kicks.  We use tape, clamps and sometimes we build wooden fixtures to secure the panels but Never screws.  Why, you ask?  Because they will print back through after time and you will see it in your finished paint work.

                                                       1973 Restoration “Warren”

The 73 is also getting a new hood surround.  During this process we are sure to fit the hood, doors and front bumper before we bond the new hood surround.  Then we grind the seams and re-epoxy them as well.  The reason for this is after time the seams shrink and if they are not properly addressed you will most likely see them print back through your paint work.

                                                               1969 Rest-O-Mod

The 69 original tri-power restOmod is back on the body and we’re plumbing the clutch and brake cylinders.
